Our History

Built in 1862, St Matthew Church of Lynnville was founded as a German speaking Evangelical church; a tradition that lasted into the 20th century. Nestled just outside of Lynnville Indiana, St Matthew Church has served the rural community of Northern Warrick, Southern Pike and Southern Gibson Counties for over 150 years.

Though St Matthew Church no longer holds services in German, we have maintained many of our long held traditions of worship, family, and community. We are a non-denominational, scripture-led church family and we are always welcoming new members. Whether you’re new to the community, the faith, or looking for a church family to belong to, St Matthew Church is there for you! Stop by every Sunday from 9am-11am and see for yourself.
